Bordered on the north by Seal Beach and the south by Huntington Beach, Sunset Beach has a rich history of over 100 years. Many celebrities choose to reside here due to its quiet and beautiful nature. It is one of the smaller Huntington Beach towns, but that doesn’t diminish its appeal. There is also a bay along part of the coast, perfect for kayaking or taking small paddle boats out to enjoy the calm water.

Things To Do
The primary attraction and activity for residents in Sunset Beach, California, is the beach. A mile and a half stretch of ocean to play, surf, swim and enjoy. It is a quiet beach, without the traffic of the touristy beaches. If there is a bit of wind, you will see kiteboarders enjoying the water.
Outside of the beach, one of the best parts of Sunset Beach is its beautiful Greenbelt
. This mile-long grassy area is thoughtfully tended with sidewalks, benches, and play areas for families and pets. There are even public showers scattered throughout for people coming in from the beach. This spot is one of Sunset Beach’s biggest hubs and is the location for most of the town’s significant events. The Greenbelt has hosted 4th of July picnics, a Mother’s Day Art Festival, and even Chili cookoffs. Locals often come here to attend these exciting events and just to enjoy time outside or take a break from the ocean.
