Things to Do

Seal Beach and its pier are the heart of the community and the most popular of its pastimes. On most days, you will find its wide sandy shore packed with sunbathers and surfers. Then there is the Seal Beach Municipal Pier at the central part of the beach. Both locals and tourists enjoy strolling along the pier and its panoramic views of the ocean and shoreline. It is common to see surfers catching waves along the dock and even catch a glimpse of local marine life like seals or dolphins. Additionally, two parks are next to the pier, Seal Beach Pier Playground, and Eisenhower Park. Both are great for toddlers and children and have splendid views of the water and accessibility to and from the beach.

If you love nature and animals, the Seal Beach National Wildlife and Refuge is where residents can go and appreciate the local wildlife and wetlands. An extensive list of recreational services is provided like backpacking and hiking trails, horseback riding, archery, climbing, boating, and much more. The Seal Beach National Wildlife and Refuge is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and a great place to explore and learn for the uninitiated.
